Barry Simpson

Coach Barry is Canadian-born and Colorado raised. He has been playing, coaching, and/or officiating soccer for over 40 years.  Barry attended the University of Northern Colorado where he earned his master’s degree is Sports Management. He was a 4-year starter on the UNC Club Team that qualified twice for the National Club Championships.  

 

Barry was the first ever UNC graduate to earn an internship with US Olympic Training Center.  After college, Barry played in the USISL with the Colorado Springs Stampede, for the USL’s Colorado Springs Ascent and the Colorado Springs Rattlers of the Southwest Indoor Soccer League. Throughout his career, Barry has coached competitive soccer, JV, and Varsity high school boys and girls teams. A career move brought the family to Nashville in 2016, where he currently resides in Franklin with his wife Allison and son Cole. Barry coached his son in the William County Soccer Association for four years prior to joining Southern Premier Soccer Club.

 

Coach Barry currently holds a D license and continues to play adult soccer.
